Frequently asked questions

I'm no expert in animation but here's some tips on the software that works for me and answers to some questions I've been asked.

How long have you been animating?

I made my first animation in December 2006. I spend roughly 3-4 hours a week animating.


What software do you use for animation?

I use Anime Studio Pro (Also known as Moho) for the 2D animation. There is a free trial available on their website and the software has some excellent tutorials to teach you the basics.

What software do you use for stop motion?

I use StopMotionPro.

What Audio software do you use?

I use Wavepad for editing audio files. There is a free version available on their website.

What Scriptwriting software do you use?

I use Celtx which is a free open source screen writing software. I also use cutePDF for saving scripts to PDF.

What video editing software do you use?

I use Adobe Premiere Elements for basic scene editing, transistion effects and exporting to .WMV.

What software do you use for video/audio format conversion?

I use free software called Cdex for converting from .WAV to .mp3 and back again.

RAD Video Tools. Free conversion software for video conversion. I use it for converting from Quicktime to .AVI
